I think I might have a ghost but, I am afraid my job, church, or neighbors will find out. What can I do?
SAPN understands the fear and reluctance that comes with paranormal activity. We know first hand the stigma that comes from the words "ghost and haunting" Rest assure all investigators sign a nondisclosure agreement to keep your anonymity safely protected. All personal files are kept under lock and key. When called to your location, we arrive in regular vehicles with equipment covered. Our team does not use uniforms since we feel this may attract undue attention from neighbors and passerby's. Our number one priority is our client's wellbeing and privacy.

Do you cleanse a location of spirits?
SAPN does not attempt to cleanse a location of spirits, or claim to do so. SAPN's job is to find a logical explanation for the happenings and second, to gather evidence to support a haunting classification. Rest assured SAPN does have the contacts our clients need should this be requested.

Do you use Psychics on your investigations?
No, SAPN does not routinely use psychics on our investigations. SAPN is called to provide tangible proof of paranormal activity for the clients. It is hard to provide proof to our clients on "psychic" thoughts and feelings. Though SAPN respects everyone's background, we only use a psychic at our client's request. Our team has a leading psychic researcher on staff whose background is impeccable. His findings would be used as a possible aid to back up any evidence which may be obtained if requested.

How do I choose a team to help me?
SAPN recommends when looking for a team to help, you ask for references on past cases. Ask questions, and make sure you feel comfortable. Choose a team whose stance on the paranormal falls in line with your own personal beliefs. Never go with a team that charges, or makes false promises to rid your home of activity.

What is EVP?
Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) is the term traditionally used to describe unexpected sounds or voices sometimes found on recording media. EVP initially involved audio tape recorders, but in later years, virtually any recording medium became a vehicle for phenomena. The term Instrumental Trans-Communication (ITC) came into being to describe these expanded modes of audio- and video-format communication. Other acronyms used in the literature include Electronic Disturbance Phenomena (EDP) and Trans-Dimensional Communication (TDC). ***Definition provided by the www.aaevp.com

Are Orbs ghosts captured on film?
In our opinion orbs are too quick to be called ghosts when captured on film by investigators. A true orb admits its own light. It will usually show up on film as a solid ball of light. If the "orb" appears to have signs of movement such as a blurred trail, then it may be solid evidence of something. True orbs are white, green or blue. Any activity that shows up as orange, yellow or red, is typically dust, light refraction, or processing error.

Can SAPN give me the location of Tro Bridge, The Ghost Tracks, or Midget Mansion?
SAPN welcomes all questions and will help in every way possible however; questions from the community on directions to TroBridge, The Ghost Tracks, or Midget Mansion will not be answered. TroBridge is in a location that can be dangerous to access. The "Midget Mansion" is located on private property and no longer standing. The Bexar County Sheriffs' Department and San Antonio Police Department have asked we not reveal the locations as they are dangerous and pose a risk of danger to the community. Homeowners next to the "ghost tracks" dislike the traffic nightmare and noise thrill seekers create. Out of respect to the home owners, the "Ghost Tracks" location will not be given. We hope the public can respect our stance.

What is a ghost?
**Answer provided from http://www.about.com A ghost - or spirit or apparition - is the energy, soul or personality of a person who has died and has somehow gotten stuck between this plane of existence and the next. Most researchers believe that these spirits do not know they are dead. Very often they have died under traumatic, unusual or highly emotional circumstances. Ghosts can be perceived by the living in a number of ways: through sight (apparitions), sound (voices), smell (fragrances and odors), touch - and sometimes they can just be sensed.

How do I know if my location may need paranormal investigators?
Provided from www.about.com *Unexplained noises - footsteps; knocks, banging, rapping; scratching sounds; sounds of something being dropped. Sometimes these noises can be subtle and other times they can be quite loud. *Doors, cabinets and cupboards opening and closing - most often, these phenomena are not seen directly. The experience either hears the distinct sounds of the doors opening and closing (homeowners get to know quite well the distinctive sounds their houses make) or the experiencer will return to a room to find a door open or closed when they are certain that it was left in the opposite position. Sometimes furniture, like kitchen chairs, is perceived to have been moved. Very rarely will the experiencer actually witness the phenomenon taking place. *Lights turning off and on - likewise, these events are seldom seen actually occurring, but the lights are switched on or off when the experiencer knows they were not left that way. This can also happen with TVs, radios and other electrically powered items. *Items disappearing and reappearing - The experience of not being able to find a regularly used item - say, your set of car keys - which you believe you placed in a spot you routinely place them. But they're gone and you look high and low for them with no success. Some time later, the keys are found - in exactly the place you normally put them. It's as if the object was borrowed by someone or something for a short time, then returned. Sometimes they are not returned for days or even weeks, but when they are, it's in an obvious place that could not have been missed by even a casual search. *Unexplained shadows - the sighting of fleeting shapes and shadows, usually seen out of the corner of the eye. Many times, the shadows have vaguely human forms, while other times they are less distinguishable or smaller. *Strange animal behavior - a dog, cat or other pet behaves strangely. Dogs may bark at something unseen, cower without apparent reason or refuse to enter a room they normally do. Cats may seem to be "watching" something cross a room. Animals have sharper senses than humans. *Feelings of being watched-this is not an uncommon feeling and can be attributed to many things, but it could have a paranormal source if the feeling consistently occurs in a particular part of the house at a particular time. ***The following are rare but could be stronger evidence: *Mild psychokinetic phenomena - hearing a door open or close is one thing. Actually seeing it happen is quite another. Similarly, actually seeing a light go on or off by itself is greater proof that something unexplained is happening. Do you see the TV or radio turn on? Or perhaps you're present when a child's powered toy begins to operate on its own. Doors and windows are locked or unlocked. Some people report that when they are in bed they can feel and/or hear something sitting on the bed. *Feelings of being touched - the feeling of being watched is one thing, and actually feeling like you are being touched is quite another. Some people feel something brush past them, something touching their hair or "a hand" on the shoulder. Some feel a gentle poke, push or nudge. *Cries and whispers - on occasion, muffled voices, whispering and crying can be heard. Sometimes it's music from some unknown source. People hear their names being said. This phenomenon, as is true for the one above, gains more credibility if more than one person hears or sees the same thing at the same time. *Cold or hot spots - cold spots are classic haunting symptoms, but any instance of a noticeable variance in temperature without a discernable cause could be evidence. *Unexplained smells - the distinct fragrance of a perfume or cologne that you do not have in your house. This phenomenon comes and goes without any apparent cause and may accompany other phenomena, such as shadows, voices or psychokinetic phenomena. Foul odors can happen in the same way. **Rarer still are more extreme phenomena, some of which have been called poltergeist phenomena, and can be quite strong evidence of a true haunting: *Moving or levitating objects (severe psychokinetic phenomena) - dinner plates sliding across the table; pictures flying off walls; doors slamming shut with great force; furniture sliding across the floor. *Physical assault - scratches, slaps and hard shoves. This kind of personal assault is extremely rare, but obviously highly disturbing. *Other physical evidence - unexplained writing on paper or walls; handprints and footprints. *Apparitions - physical manifestation of a spirit or entity. These phenomena are also very rare and can take many forms: human-shaped mists or forming mists of some indistinguishable shape; transparent human forms that disappear quickly; and most rarely, human forms that look as real and solid as any living person, but that disappear into a room or even while being viewed.

Are there different types of hauntings?
Yes, there are different classifications of a haunting. Below are very brief explanations for the classifications: Residual Haunting: Residual are also known as "psychic impressions" Think of a residual haunting as a movie being replayed time after time, an event that repeats itself over and over. Residual hauntings are past events played with no interaction. It is believed that some events imprint themselves on the environment where the event took place. Some events can vary from a person standing in a certain location to a horse carriage going down a roadway. Residuals can happen in the same place, time, or date where an activity once occurred. Intelligent Haunting: Intelligent is where a ghost interacts and can communicate. Intelligent hauntings seem to stay or maybe just visit the physical world in which we live. It is also plausible that intelligent hauntings occur due to attachments the ghost has through trauma, tragedy or other emotional connections. In this type of haunting we find a person may not realize they have passed on, have unfinished business, hang around loved ones, want company of the living, or fear death and facing moving on the another place. There may even be a possible connection to a person, place, or thing which warrants the attachment. SAPN feels some ghosts encountered are negative or angry, while others are happy and even pranksters. We feel when a person passes on; their personality seems to stay intact. Demonic cases are different from angry and misguided. Poltergeist: Adding more soon Demonic: Adding more soon

We are planning a trip to San Antonio, can you recommend a ghost tour?
We do not conduct ghost tours so we can be of no help. We can suggest you search yahoo or google for "San Antonio Ghost Tours" to research all 3 in the downtown area. Many downtown hotels may contain brochures with additional information. We will not recommend any one tour over another as we are sure all do a fine job with different approaches.

Why does SAPN change members from time to time?
The quickest answers are some do not realize what working on a paranormal team entails. It requires people who can work in a team to accomplish goals not work alone or use the name to gain an edge above others. All members go through a 90 day probation period...many do make it 90 days due to a variety of factors. They could be one of more of the folowing: The committment and time involved working with a team was not what they expected, their personality and approach does not fit in with SAPN standards or other team members, They have personal buisness which requires their focus, SAPN guidelines were not followed or they have a different approach on what constitutes activity or a hanuting. This field is everchanging and all teams lose and gain members from time to time. The majority stay and learn it is only a select few who do not make the cut. SAPN is different from 90% of the teams in the field today. We are attempting to find a logical explanation for the reports from our clients, not confirm a place is haunted or full of activity. We welcome anyone to apply to join, but expect only so many will make it through to the end. We are looking for only the most comitted, with the integrity and know how this field requires. We want those who are willing to learn and can handle working in a team envioroment.

What happens after SAPN is contacted?
Depending on distance a face to face or telephone interview will take place. If it is found SAPN will take your case, an appointment is then made. Some cases will be passed to other TAPS Family teams or long time investigative teams due to scheduling and distance.
