How much does your team charge for an investigation?
SAPN NEVER charges to investigate claims of paranormal activity. I reside outside of San Antonio what areas do you cover? SAPN covers the entire southern region of Texas. We try to stay within a 4 hour radius of our home base San Antonio. If we find we are not able to take your case due to scheduling, please rest assure we will refer your case to a reputable team who will assist you. We also have a worldwide network of teams available to assist in many locations. Are you accepting new members? Please check our "JOIN" link for any current openings. I think I might have a ghost but, I am afraid my job, church, or neighbors will find out. What can I do? SAPN understands the fear and reluctance that comes with paranormal activity. We know first hand the stigma that comes from the words "ghost and haunting" Rest assure all investigators sign a nondisclosure agreement to keep your anonymity safely protected. All personal files are kept under lock and key. When called to your location, we arrive in regular vehicles with equipment covered. Our team does not use uniforms since we feel this may attract undue attention from neighbors and passersby.
Our number one priority is our client's wellbeing and privacy.
Do you cleanse a location of spirits? SAPN does not attempt to cleanse a location of spirits, or claim to do so. SAPN's job is to find a logical explanation for the happenings and second, to gather evidence to support a haunting classification.
Do you use Ouija boards or Séances? No, SAPN does not use these type of tools.
Do you use Psychics on your investigations? No, SAPN does not routinely use psychics on our investigations. SAPN is called to provide tangible proof of paranormal activity for the clients. It is hard to provide proof to our clients on "psychic" thoughts and feelings. Though SAPN respects everyone's background, this stance is what has worked best for our clients over the years. How do I choose a team to help me? When looking for a team to help, ask for references on past cases. Ask questions, and make sure you feel comfortable. Choose a team whose stance on the paranormal falls in line with your own personal beliefs. Never go with a team that charges, or makes false promises to rid your home of activity.
What is EVP? Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) is the term traditionally used to describe unexpected sounds or voices sometimes found on recording media. What is a ghost? A ghost is simply the energy, soul or personality of a person who has died and has somehow gotten stuck between this plane of existence and the next. How do I know if my location may need paranormal investigators? ******Unexplained noises - footsteps; knocks, banging, rapping; scratching sounds; sounds of something being dropped. Sometimes these noises can be subtle and other times they can be quite loud*********Doors, cabinets and cupboards opening and closing******Lights turning off and on******Items disappearing and reappearing******Unexplained shadows******Strange animal behavior *****Feelings of being watched ******Mild psychokinetic phenomena - hearing a door open or close is one thing. Actually seeing it happen is quite another. Similarly, actually seeing a light go on or off by itself is greater proof that something unexplained is happening. Do you see the TV or radio turn on? Or perhaps you're present when a child's powered toy begins to operate on its own. Doors and windows are locked or unlocked. Some people report that when they are in bed they can feel and/or hear something sitting on the bed.********Feelings of being touched*******Cries and whispers ********Cold or hot spots********Unexplained smells ********Rarer still are more extreme phenomena, some of which have been called poltergeist phenomena, and can be quite strong evidence of a true haunting: *Moving or levitating objects******** *Physical assault - scratches, slaps and hard shoves. This kind of personal assault is extremely rare, but obviously highly disturbing.********Other physical evidence - unexplained writing on paper or walls; hand prints and footprints.********Apparitions - physical manifestation of a spirit or entity. These phenomena are also very rare and can take many forms: human-shaped mists or forming mists of some indistinguishable shape; transparent human forms that disappear quickly; and most rarely, human forms that look as real and solid as any living person, but that disappear into a room or even while being viewed.
Are there different types of hauntings? Yes,Below are very brief explanations for the classifications:
********Residual Haunting: Residual are also known as "psychic impressions" Think of a residual haunting as a movie being replayed time after time, an event that repeats itself over and over. Residual hauntings are past events played with no interaction. It is believed that some events imprint themselves on the environment where the event took place.*********
Intelligent Haunting: Intelligent is where a ghost interacts and can communicate. Intelligent hauntings seem to stay or maybe just visit the physical world in which we live.
It is also plausible that intelligent hauntings occur due to attachments the ghost has through trauma, tragedy or other emotional connections. In this type of haunting we find a person may not realize they have passed on, have unfinished business, hang around loved ones, want company of the living, or fear death and facing moving on the another place. There may even be a possible connection to a person, place, or thing which warrants the attachment. SAPN feels some ghosts encountered are negative or angry, while others are happy and even pranksters. We feel when a person passes on; their personality seems to stay intact. Demonic cases are different from angry and misguided.
Poltergeist: More soon
Demonic: Referred out
Why does SAPN change members from time to time? The quickest answers are: some do not truly realize what working on a paranormal team entails. All members go through a 6 month probation period...many do not make it due to a variety of factors: The commitment and time involved working with a team was not what they expected and/or their personality and approach does not fit in with SAPN standards. Finally, they may have personal obligations which require their focus or SAPN guidelines were not followed. What happens after SAPN is contacted? Depending on distance a face to face or telephone interview will take place. If it is found SAPN will take your case, an appointment is then made. Some cases will be passed to other TAPS Family teams or long time investigative teams due to scheduling and distance.
